This study evaluated the impact of financial resources from the COVID-19 pandemic and strategies implemented
by agro-export companies on their economic results, using a sample of 12 companies in Barranca, Peru. The
methodology involved a quantitative approach through surveys and statistical analysis. The results showed that
50% of companies registered a very high effect of said resources and strategies, while in the rest the impact is
medium. The analysis confirms the existence of a significant effect on the companies’ results. In addition, the
strategies allowed obtaining positive profitability and increasing production capacity to meet consumer needs.
This study provides initial evidence of the economic effects of the pandemic and mitigation actions in agro-export
companies in the region. The findings are relevant to guiding recovery policies for the productive sector after the
health emergency.
