Abstract

The study was carried out in the Populated Center of Venado Muerto, district of Supe and province of Barranca, located at 357 meters above sea level. The objective was to evaluate the effect of the use of organic fertilizers on the sustainable production of cowpea beans (Vigna unguiculata L.), in Venado Muerto – Barranca. The treatments were: T3 = Ajinofer+biol (3 t/ha + 7.5 L/200 L), T2 = Biol (7.5 L/200 L), T1 = Ajinofer NK (3 t/ha) and T0 (without application). The following variables were evaluated: length of pods/plant (cm), No. of pods/plant, No. of grains/pod, weight of grains/plant (g) and yield (t/ha). The completely randomized block design (D.B.C.A.) was used, with 4 treatments and 3 repetitions. The statistical test was Tukey at 0.05 significance and the analysis of variance at 95% confidence. The results showed that Ajinofer+biol at a dose of 3 t/ha + 7.5 L/200 L, presented the best values for each variable under study: length of pods/plant (18.12 cm), for No. of pods/plant (22.47 pods/plant), for number of grains/pod (9.74 grains/pod), for weight of grains/plant (33.95 g) and for yield presented 3.04 t/ha, respectively. In conclusion, the use of organic fertilizers presents significant effects on the sustainable production of cowpea crops, of which Ajinofer+biol stood out at doses of 3 t/ha + 7.5 L/200 L, under C. P. Venado Muerto conditions – Barranca.
