Abstract

The objective of the research was to recognize the insecticidal active ingredients that farmers have been using in the province of Barranca and in this way infer the degree of toxic residues and contamination that the various
agricultural products that are consumed could have. The experimentation was carried out in 35 commercial pesticide sales houses in the city of Barranca. The technique applied is the survey and the instrument consisted of a
questionnaire on the most commercialized insecticides or requested by customers, mostly farmers in the area. The results show that users in the area acquire insecticides of medium to low toxicity and friendly to the environment,
these insecticides are new chemical groups such as Fipronil, Imidacloprid, Chlorfenapir and anthranilic diamides. Among other groups, pyrethroid and organophosphate insecticides are marketed. Likewise, less toxic active substances such as microbial insecticides or bioinsecticides and growth regulating insecticides, very important for their low toxicity, however, are insecticides that are little commercialized.
